Stats NZ has been undergoing a significant up haul of their current data practices and quality. They have begun implementing nation wide data standards to ensure data quality and reduce the need for data cleaning so that data is more useful! In this session, the Chief Data Steward shares how to expose and utilise the best data to improve the stakeholder experience, whether this be in creating innovative service design, increase citizen utility or make evidence based policy decisions. She will look back on her journey of the past year to create nation wide standards of data for improved governance, as well as look to the future.
